Elections and Voting
Northumberland has ‘all out’ elections for all County Council and Parish Council seats, including the Police and Crime Commissioner on 6th May 2021.

If you are not already registered to vote, you can do so using the Register to Vote link below:
You can still register for a postal vote for these elections, up to 5:00pm on Tuesday 20th April 2021. Do not delay if you wish to exercise your right to vote by post. You can register using the form linked below:

Nomination Papers
The nomination papers for candidates who wish to stand for any of the 10 seats on Eglingham Parish Council – are available from Northumberland County Council - Northumberland County Council - Voting and Elections

Nomination papers can only be handed in to Northumberland County Council (NCC) between 29th March and 8th April at designated locations in Alnwick, Berwick, Hexham and Morpeth (addresses are provided within the nomination process guidance). You can however make an appointment with NCC to have your nomination papers checked informally prior to 29th March – this is recommended and can be done by the following link:

Polling
If there are more nominations than seats available, there will be an election, with polling on 6th May. If there are the same number of nominations as seats available, there will not be an election and candidates will be ‘elected unopposed’ on 9th April 2021.
